Cryptocurrencies March Higher

Monday, stocks gained 1.5% in Asia, 1.1% in Europe, and 1.6% in the U.S. on extremely high volume. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 Index logged record closing highs. Apple closed above the 120 benchmark. The big news this time came from Moderna announcing a Wuhan Flu vaccine claimed 95% effective.

Tuesday, stocks closed unchanged in Asia, fell 0.3% in Europe, and declined slightly in the U.S. on very high volume. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury bond yield gained 4% to close at 0.87. Precious metals miners fell 2%. Apple declined to close below the 120 benchmark.

Wednesday, stocks changed little in Asia, gained 0.4% in Europe, and fell 1.0% in the U.S. on extremely high volume. The VXO moved up 6% to close at 23.69. Precious metals fell 1% and their miners declined three times that amount.

Thursday, stocks fell 0.5% in Asia and 0.7% in Europe but gained 0.4% in the U.S. on extremely high volume. The VXO declined 5% to close at 22.53. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury bond yield fell 3% to close at 0.85. Precious metals fell 1%.

Friday, stocks gained 0.8% in Asia and 0.5% in Europe but fell 0.3% in the U.S. on very high volume. The VXO moved up 5% to close at 23.72. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury bond yield fell 3% to close at 0.83. For the week, cryptocurrencies gained about 15%.
