Bombing Iran Again

Monday, stocks fell 1.8% in Asia, 1.6% in Europe, and 0.4% in the U.S. on 21B shares traded. The VIX rose 8% to end at 21.44 and move back to the fear zone. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury bond yield rose 2% to end at 4.05. Precious metals fell about 1%. IBM fell below its 240 benchmark.

Tuesday, stocks lost 3.4% in Asia, 3.1% in Europe, and 1.8% in the U.S. on 24B shares traded. The VIX rose 10% to close at 23.67. Precious metals tumbled 6% and their miners shed 9%. The NYSE ended below its 23,000 benchmark. IBM closed above its 240 benchmark.

Wednesday, stocks declined 3.4% in Asia but advanced 1.4% in Europe and 0.4% in the U.S. on 22B shares traded. The VIX dropped 10% to close at 21.30. Precious metals and their miners gained about 1%. The NYSE ended above its 23,000 benchmark. IBM ended above 250.

Thursday, stocks gained 2.2% in Asia but lost 1.4% in Europe, and 1.3% in the U.S. on 23B shares traded. The VIX rose 12% to close at 23.75. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury bond yield rose 2% to end at 4.15. Precious metals fell 1% while their miners lost 4 times that amount The Dow closed below its 48,000 benchmark and the S&P 500 ended below 6800.

Friday, stocks closed little changed in Asia but fell 1.0% in Europe, and 1.2% in the U.S. on 21B shares traded. The VIX shot up 24% to close at 29.49. Precious metals gained 2%. Apple fell below 260.
