Monday, stocks fell 0.7% in Asia, 2.4% in Europe and 0.6% in the U.S. on extremely high volume. The VXO moved up 7% to close at 23.27. Precious metals gained 1%. The S&P 500 closed below the 3700 level.
Tuesday, stocks in Asia fell 0.7%, in Europe rose 1.2%, and fell 0.4% in the U.S. on extremely high volume. Precious metals fell 2%. Their miners lost 3%. The NASDAQ logged another record closing high. Apple ended the day also with record high close that took it above the 130 benchmark.
Wednesday, stocks rose 0.6% in Asia, 0.9% in Europe, and 0.5% in the U.S. on massive volume. The VXO dropped 6% to close at 21.65.
Thursday, stocks in Asia fell 0.5%, in Europe rose slightly stocks and in the U.S. on light volume. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury bond yield fell 3% to close at 0.93. Apple logged another record high close.
Friday, markets were closed for Christmas.
