Wednesday, stocks fell 0.7% in Asia, gained slightly in Europe, and rose 0.3% in the U.S. on moderate volume. Apple surged to close above the 300 benchmark. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury bond yield moved up 3% to close at 1.87. Precious metals fell 1% while their miners retreated four times that amount.
Thursday, stocks ramped up 1.6% in Asia, gained 0.3% in Europe, and moved up 0.5% in the U.S. on moderate volume. The VXO fell 7% to close at 12.21. Precious metals fell 1% and their miners declined twice that amount. Apple shot up 2% to a new record closing high.
Friday, stocks rose 0.5% in Asia, drifted slightly lower in Europe, and fell 0.3% in the U.S. on light volume. Precious metals gained 1% and their miners moved up twice that amount. Apple registered another record close — taking out the 310 level.
