Monday, stocks fell 1.3% in Asia, 0.8% in Europe, and 1.6% in the U.S. on strong volume. The VXO shot up 16% to close at 21 even. Apple led the way down with a 5% loss while precious metals miners fell 2%. Tuesday, stocks gained 0.8% in Europe, while closing little changed in Asia and the U.S. on high volume. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury Bond yield fell 2% to close at 3.14.
Wednesday, stocks gained 0.3% in Asia, fell 0.7% in Europe, and fell 0.4% in the U.S. on very high volume. Precious metals rose 1% while their miners gained twice that amount. Cryptocurrencies plummeted about 10%.
Thursday, stocks in Asia fell 1.1%, in Europe fell 0.9% but in the U.S. they rose 0.7% on high volume.
Friday, stocks fell 0.4% in Asia, closed slightly lower in Europe but rose 0.3% in the U.S. on high volume. The VXO moved up 7% to close at 19.94. Precious metals rose 1% and their miners gained twice that amount. For the week cryptocurrencies fell 15%.
