Monday, stocks fell 0.6% in Asia, rose 1% in Europe, and gained slightly in the U.S. on strong volume. Tuesday, stocks fell 0.5% in Asia, closed nearly unchanged in Europe, and fell 0.5% in the U.S. on strong volume. The VXO dropped 5% to close at 9.92. Wednesday, stocks fell 1.5% in Asia, closed little changed in Europe, and in the U.S. fell 0.3% on moderate volume. Thursday, stocks closed virtually unchanged in Europe but gained 0.3% in Asia and the U.S. on moderate volume. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury Bond yield rose 2%, to close at 2.38 while bitcoin continued its moonshot higher.
Friday, stocks in Asia and Europe rose 0.7% and in the U.S. they rose 0.5% on moderate volume. The VXO dropped 11% to close at 8.54. Bitcoin again captured the headlines with a spectacular roller-coaster ride up to over $19K before dropping back to $15K.
