Wednesday, stocks rose slightly in Asia but closed little changed in Europe and the U.S. on light volume. The VXO rose 14% to close at 8.90. The 10-Year U.S. Treasury Bond yield fell 2%, to close at 2.41.
Thursday, stocks gained 0.5% in Asia, lost 0.3% in Europe, and gained slightly in the U.S. on low volume. The VXO fell 5% to close at 8.43. Friday, stocks rose 0.3% in Asia, changed little in Europe, and fell 0.3% in the U.S. on light volume. The VXO moved up 12% to close at 9.46. For the year, the S&P 500 Index gained 20%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 25%, the NASDAQ rose 29%, and Bitcoin soared 1400%.
