Tuesday, stocks fell 0.4% in Asia and Europe as the markets in the U.S. were closed for Independence Day.
Wednesday, stocks in Asia rose 0.3%, closed little-changed in Europe, and fell slightly in the U.S. on moderate volume. Thursday, stocks fell slightly in Asia, dropped 0.6% in Europe, and lost 0.9% in the U.S. on low volume. The VXO shot up over 20% to close just above 12 while the 10-Year U.S. Treasury Bond yield moved up another 2% to close at 2.37. Friday, stocks fell in Asia 0.6%, changed little in Europe, and rose 0.4% in the U.S. on low volume. The VXO retraced Thursday’s gains to close just below 10.
