After the second 2016 presidential debate, Donald Trump declared that he had competed three-against-one and still won. He enumerated his three opponents as Hillary Clinton and the two debate “moderators.” These moderators attempted to set the tone of the debate and rattle Trump by leading with a question dredging up the locker room talk scandal that broke just shortly before the debate. They immediately silenced audience reaction favorable to Trump while allowing the audience to carry on for Hillary. Unlike with Hillary, they interrupted Trump and pressed him. Despite all of that, Trump held up under pressure and emerged the clear victor.
The question before us though relates to the actual number of Trump’s opponents. We shall see the answer isn’t three at all. Donald Trump stands to expose and overturn the corrupt forces that control this nation, seek to maintain the status quo, and consolidate their ever-tightening grip on power. These evil forces will not go down without a fight, but this fight has already caused them to at least show their stripes. Let’s look at them now.
Federal Reserve
One of the most powerful forces in the country and on earth, the Federal Reserve, may be Trump’s greatest foe. Janet Yellen met with Barack Obama earlier this year. They both understand that the the phony prosperity concocted by the Federal Reserve and other central banks comes by raising massive amounts of debt to purchase of trillions of dollars of securities.
As the fate of this election hangs in the balance, the president no doubt sought assurances from the FOMC chair that they would do what they could to hold off the impending day of reckoning until after the election. Trump promised to clean up this house of cards. As such, the Fed is no friend of Trump.
Billionaires
Next in line has to be the big-money oligarchs from around the world. The names Warren Buffett and George Soros make the news daily. Yet they unashamedly oppose Trump and marshal big money to defeat him.
The Republican Party
From Mitt Romney, to Paul Ryan, to George H. W. Bush and his family, the Republican Party opposes Trump. Despite Trump’s record fund-raising accomplishments, his own political party actually threatened to redirect these funds away from his campaign. The RINOs especially have taken to the airwaves to oppose Trump. Clearly the Republican Party, whose presidential nomination Trump holds, fundamentally stands against him.
The Media
This includes cable giants CNN, MSNBC and even to a large extent Fox News. CNN and MSNBC blatantly color stories and reporting to diminish Trump at every turn. Fox favors the Republican Party status quo and thereby slants their bias accordingly. Broadcasters ABC, CBS, and NBC all delight in digging up dirt on Trump and dwelling on it. Indeed, the latest locker room talk recording came from NBC. Major publishers like the New York Times and Washington Post also attempt to denigrate Trump. In fact, Trump has threatened to sue the New Your Times for their recent story maligning Trump’s treatment of women.
The White House
President Barack Obama has taken time from his busy schedule as leader of the United States to campaign for Hillary Clinton. He actually said “there has never been a man or a woman—not me, not Bill, nobody—more qualified than Hillary Clinton to serve as president of the United States of America.” Obama’s wife, Michelle, as well as Hillary’s husband former President Clinton also have taken to the campaign trail to support Hillary and oppose Trump.
Megabanks
Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and a long list of other megabanks routinely have given the Clintons hundreds of thousands of dollars for short speeches. Recent Podesta emails confirm the use of the Clinton Foundation as a front for buying influence. While Hillary poses to the electorate as opposed to Wall Street and the banks that fund it, behind closed doors, she lets them know their money speaks her language.
Hollywood
A few of the most recognizable entertainers in the Hillary camp include Barbra Streisand, Meryl Streep, Cher, Oprah Winfrey, and Elton John. They hold fundraiser parties to lend support. They campaign for her. And they freely use their star power to influence this election.
While we could even more categories to this list, we can see this array of opponents to Trump boggles the mind. Donald Trump knows our country’s future hangs in the balance. His grit, patriotism, and passion for the people of this nation drive him. He said that before this fight is over he will have invested $100 million of his own money in this campaign. This is unprecedented and harkens back to the patriots who sacrificed to form this nation. Clearly he believes in his mission.
With such a massive force lined up against him, what hope does Trump have? Of course, it lies in the thinking, good people of this country. Despite waves of relentless slanderous attacks, Donald Trump fights on. He continues to defy the pundits and remains viable in spite of it all. He draws huge crowds wherever he speaks. Hopefully, for our county’s sake and for the sake of our children, he and the millions who stand with him will win.
In past elections, we’ve had lawyers, generals, entertainers, doctors, politicians, and even an astronaut run for president. Rarely though have we had the privilege to elect a proven business leader. The President of the United States is not a king or a dictator. The president accepts the role of the chief executive and commander-in-chief. He executes the laws written by Congress and provides leadership. In 2016, we the people of the United States actually have the option of electing a man with proven executive experience and success.
