Stocks Power Higher

Monday, stocks rose in Europe 0.6%, and slightly Asia and the U.S. on moderate volume. Tuesday, stocks gained 0.8% in Asia but closed nearly unchanged in Europe and the U.S. on moderate volume. The big news of the day was the U.S. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal.

Wednesday stocks fell 0.3% in Asia, gained 0.7% in Europe, and gained 0.9% in the U.S. on strong volume. The VXO fell 5:% to close at 13.88. The The 10-Year U.S. Treasury Bond yield moved up 1% to close at 3.00.

Thursday, stocks gained 1% in Asia, moved little in Europe, and moved up 0.8% in the U.S. on moderate volume. The VXO fell 5% to close at 13.17 while precious metals and their miners gained 1%. Friday, stocks gained 1% in Asia, closed little changed in Europe, and gained slightly in the U.S. on low volume. The VXO fell 5% to close at 12.57.
