Winding Down for the Holidays

Wednesday, stocks fell 1% in Asia, 0.4% in Europe, and 0.5% in the U.S. on moderate volume. The VXO rose 14% to close at 11.24 while the 10-Year U.S. Treasury Bond yield fell 2%, ending at 2.34. Thursday, stocks rose 0.7% in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. on moderate volume. The VXO fell 16% to close at 9.51 as the NASDAQ carried the banner this time with a a record closing high. Friday, stocks rose in Asia 0.6%, fell in Europe 0.3%, and closed unchanged in the U.S. on moderate volume.
